The GEM8 / GEM10 features a CREE XP-L Hi V3 LED that emits an extremely bright beam with excellent penetration that is ideal for recognizing the texture, technique, defects and cracks in precious stones.
GEM8 = 500 Lumens, GEM10 = 800 Lumens
With their excellent penetration, GEM8 / GEM10 are ideal for the search and recognition of foreign bodies (dirt) in jade.
The use of ultraviolet light with a frequency of 365nm is ideal for identifying diamonds, confirming their authenticity, controlling fluorescence and more.
Ultraviolet lighting can identify organic and inorganic gemstones.
For example in ultraviolet light amber glows, diamonds glow blue, natural jade looks transparent when it has no injectable glue.
All models have a rotary switch to select the appropriate brightness. This type of switch offers unlimited variation of intensity from very low to very high brightness. Easily adjustable even with gloves. They operate with a rechargeable 18650 battery or two CR123 / RCR123 batteries. They have a patent for their clever design. The nose is specially designed so as not to injure the precious stones during the inspection.
The GEM8 / GEM8UV models are specially designed for the control of small size gemstones such as jade beads, diamond rings, crystal beads etc.
The GEM10 / GEM10UV models are aimed at raw gemstones. A built-in measuring tape helps to measure the stones.
Their lighting is controlled by a high-efficiency electronic circuit to be stable without flicker.
They are made of high quality aluminum alloy with hard anodizing finish. The hardened mineral crystal of the lenses has an anti-reflective coating.
They are also waterproof according to the IPX8 standard (Durability up to 2 meters under water).
